AIR TOWER

Acousmatic music (from Greek ἄκουσμα akousma, "a thing heard") is a form of electroacoustic music that is specifically composed for presentation using speakers, as opposed to a live performance. It stems from a compositional tradition that dates back to the introduction of musique concrète (a form of musique expérimentale) in the late 1940s. Unlike musical works that are realised using sheet music exclusively, compositions that are purely acousmatic (in listening terms) often exist solely as fixed media audio recordings.
Acousmatic Sound Sculpture *✶・゚

This project is a presentation of how is distribute the sound picture created as a patchwork from individual fragments as a whole space .. Unfortunately at this point in time, there is no way to convey the true sound of the object, since in order to be heard it must be in the same space ..

Side story *✶・゚✧

We start our collaboration at art~residences and worked on a joint project to rethink the old Soviet technology for a new look ..

In the continuation, we were interested in the possibility of implementing the simultaneous sounding of different sources of sound synced by time .. As a result, Yana has created a sound structure for the four independent channels and after small research about the architecture of sound~waves, we made a model for explained the sound ..

Four paired dynamics were used and the sound is prerecorded to the OTP microchips for each of the pairs that are located one after two next .. Soundtracks were recorded which made it possible to paralleled start playing the sound .. At the same time, arose effect of infinitely unique repeatability, since the sound was different in duration over time ..

Frequently Asked Questions
What did you wish you knew before you started this?

It is a structure for four-way independent audio channels ..

The form of the horn body may be different ~ it is in fact not a big deal ~ a form then determines the angle of rotation of the design. We used eight seven-corner structures to create a general inclination of parallel patterns away from the source about 30*

We also use digital technology to record four independent audio tracks each to pair of speakers into the microcircuit and each of the four sound fragments has been prerecording into the microcircuit by the PROM technology ..
What’s next?

That model as a whole is a complete work, but it does not prevent us from saying that it can be transformed and (or) anything and in any way .. For example, the viewer for the preparation of 85 independent audio streams ..
